SATURDAY NIGHT'S ALRIGHT FOR PARTYING!

By pure chance, we bumped into the Claymores PR Man, who told us of a party for the media scheduled for that night. where he handed our pass to get in, a fluorescent purple wrist band which once on, you could not take off but you would not dare walk down the street wearing it in case people got the wrong idea.

There was just one problem, we did not know where it was and when we picked up our game passes, the NFL Media guys did not know where it was expect to say that it was in a nightclub.  That narrowed the field down quite a bit.

After we picked up our prized press passes to get to the big game, we decided that this would be good time to take home some souvenir.

And I would say that the shops that you come across in downtown Frankfurt, would almost certainly not exist in my neck of the woods.

I would imagine that there would not be many major cities that would have in the middle of a busy precinct that is a focal point for souvenir hunter. a police shop that sold  all  latest in the line of Rambo Knives, Pepper sprays and a book on the latest techniques on how to use a police baton.

A handy thing to bring a family member back home - that is of course if he is a psycho.

Hours then passed and we did discover the party venue -in a square called the Rossmarket, the sight for the Fan shindig with the media soiree happening in the same area, but in a nearby night club several feet under.

It was a seedy club which was deserted expect for one corner, where we were all partitioned off by glass panel doors, where the media party had Cheerleaders, Claymores front office staff, Cheddar Heads- and then media.

We thought that we would make some good contacts, but with all the rich food and free beer, all I got was indigestion.  But it was not long before the lure of the crowd was more tempting than the free food and drink - time to mingle with the masses

.Once we got to the surface, I soon realized that I have made a mistake staying down stairs and stuffing my face.

The Fans party had the NFL experience, a live stage show plus all the trimmings.

The media party had a buffet, beer with the only entertainment was a machine that gave you access to German chat line, where the participants did not know any English.

So when we did decide to reach the surface, we decided to make up for lost time and soak up the real party atmosphere.  But we could not soak up too much as we had work in the morning.

PT 3

Will this be their finest hour??
