The NFL Europe Team of the Year is voted for by fans, the media and coaches and results were announced today at Hampden ahead of World Bowl XI this Saturday, June 14. The Claymores led the way with seven selections, followed by Frankfurt Galaxy (six), FC Barcelona Dragons (five), Amsterdam Admirals (four), Rhein Fire (three) and Berlin Thunder (two).

Simonton's Claymores team-mate CRAIG NALL was named best quarterback after throwing 18 touchdowns to finish the highest rated passer in the league. The 303 points put up by the 2003 Claymores ranks second in league history.

Helping the offense rack up the yards, and also honoured by the league, were Claymores Tackles JUSTIN BLAND (Oakland Raiders) and DAVID COSTA (Pittsburgh Steelers), while on the defensive side of the ball Tackle MICHAEL LANDRY (Kansas City Chiefs) and Linebacker YUBRENAL ISABELLE, snapped up for today's game by Rhein Fire, were also honoured for helping their team claim a league best 32 sacks for the season.

Claymores kicker ROB HART, a model of consistency in his five years at the club, was also singled out for the second time in his career after leading the league in scoring in the 2003 season with 64 points.

Claymores head coach GENE DAHLQUIST said: "I'm pleased that guys who have played at such a high level all season have been recognised as outstanding players in their positions.
