Usually when a book about American
Football appears in the shop it is usually about what is going on
in the States.
Any reference to the British game usually ends up as an
afterthought with a few pages at the back.
But thankfully there is now a book that has definitive made in
Britain stamp outlining the story of the British game so far.
The British Football Almanac 2004 reviews what was an
eventful year in the history of UK gridiron, from the junior flag
football, including GB under 15’s Euro Flag Triumph, Stirling
Clansmen and Clyde Valley Hawks capturing the British College and
Youth kitted titles and the London O’s continued dominance of the
senior domestic league.
As well as the domestic scene, fans can also get the low down
on British sides exploits in Europe as the PA Knights flew the flag
in the European Cup.
Not forgetting the international scene, where there are
reports from the annual youth international between Scotland and
England as well as news on the GB College Bulldogs Italian Tour and
the re-launch of the GB Senior National Programme.
