EVERYTHING
YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT BRITISH GRIDIRON BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK
PT 2
When you use the word almanac in the title of a
book you know that there would be no stone unturned when it comes
to information. And you would think that what went on during the
past twelve months would be enough to fill more than one book.
But authors Matt Heasman and Mark Elliot do not
forget about newcomers to the game, producing an in depth history
of the game in Britain and Ireland, going back to their humble beginnings
in the early 80’s bringing back some classic memories for
die hard fans
And somewhere along the line, there is also a reference
to NFL Europe, including an interview with Scott Couper.
Some of the pictures prints on the book may not
be the type of quality you would expect from a book of this magnitude,
but let us not take that away from has been a “mammoth task”
but a labour of love for the authors.
If we had to outline everything that is in what
is a well produced piece of work, then we would have to produce
an almanac of our own.
So if you are on the look out for the definitive
reference book on Gridiron in Britain, then you won’t get
much better than this.
