Clyde Valley Blackhawks v Mill United Dad's

Clyde Valley Blackhawks American football team took the field on
Saturday at the Hamilton Place grounds to play a differant kind of
football. The Blackhawks have a few members who play both games (American
football and soccer )and were asked if they would play a charity match
against Mill Utd.
The game started well for Mill Utd and before the Blackhawks could get
to grips with the pace of the game they were 2 v 0 down . As the game
progressed the youthfulness and fitness of the Blackhawks started to pay
off . Ryan Rodgers was tormenting the Mill Utd defence and kept
springing the offside trap , this allowed Kriss Henderson to bag a hat
trick although the Blackhawks went 3 v 2 up the Utd team did not give in
easily and got the game back to 4 all .
Darren Darroch hit a free kick which went straight through the wall to
again put the Blackhawks into the lead . This was where they were to
stay when Gary Orr gave them a bit of breathing space to take the score
to 6 v 4 .

The Blackhawks would like to extend their thanks to Mill United for the
Game and wish them all the best for the future It is
thought that around £150 was raised for charity on the day
