Rockets Silence Storm

In the Scottish Flag Football Association youth league opening game of the season the Inverness Rockets put out a warning to all other teams as they defeated the mighty Dundee Storm by 68 points to 25. Graeme Mackay and Andrew Munro both getting 2 TDs and Angus Mackintosh picking up 4 TDs and MVP for the Rockets with Philip Bruce receiving MVP for the Storm

 

Oilcats Burned by Rockets.

The Rockets second season fixture proved to be a tougher game with the more experienced Aberdeen Oilcats providing the opposition. The Rockets however took the lead and hung on to it, going in at half-time 21- 13 up. The second half the Rockets added to deficit and maintained a 2 score advantage for most of the second half running out winners 45 -34. Angus Mackintosh picked up his second MVP of the day with Adam Ingram as the Oilcats MVP.

2006 SFFA Finals

Inverness Blitz Academy of American Football has been successful in their bid to host the Scottish Flag Football Associations Finals day for 2006.

The Inverness Blitz Academy of American Football committee will work closely with the SFFA committee to ensure the teams of the SFFA have a finals day worthy of their efforts.

Following on from the well run and structured finals days held at Stirling in the past, Inverness hopes to maintain this organisation and add in some Highland hospitality.

Amongst the added attractions will be team introductions, music, commentary, cheerleaders and mascots.

Finals day will take place on Saturday 29th September and will feature the top 4 teams from cadet, junior, and youth age groups from all over Scotland.

Venue

Bught Park Stadium, will have 3 full size flag fields marked each of which would all be in full view of the stadium. The stadium has 8 changing rooms, the stand can hold over 600 spectators and has a PA system which will be used to make announcements, deliver commentary and play music.
