Clyde Valley Falcons 54 – Glasgow Tigers 0

Due to Cambuslang being unavailable Falcons travelled once again to Kilsyth, this time to take on the Glasgow Tigers.

It was always going to be an uphill struggle for the Tigers due to both the size and number of players the Falcons have.

On CV’s first possession they drove downfield behind some powerful running.

The drive was capped when William Winters took the reverse handoff and scuttled 15 yards to the endzone for Falcon’s first TD.

The extra 2 points were added when John Minto slotted over the kick.

Falcons defence then took the field and scored a TD of their own when Blake Kyle intercepted a wayward Tigers pass and ran headlong to the endzone.

The extra point was added when William Winters caught the pass. CV were on the scoreboard again when Greg Conroy connected on a pass from QB David Orr then carried the ball 60 yards on a tackle breaking run to the endzone. Fraser Anderson carried the ball over the goal line for the extra point.

Glasgow were unable to move the ball on their next possession and were forced to punt. Ross Ivison received the punt and barrelled 30 yards for the Falcon’s next TD.

The extra point was added when Greg Conroy caught a pass in the endzone.

In the 2nd half the Falcon’s dominance of the game continued, when Glasgow fumbled the ball on their own 13yard line CV’s Steven Anderson recovered the ball.

Falcons soon capitalised on this error when game MVP Graeme MacMillan scurried to the endzone for his first TD of the day.

Falcons defence continued to pile on the pressure when Ross Ivison again

intercepted the ball on the Tigers 23 yard line. Although the Falcons scored again this was chalked off for a penalty.

The Tigers defence then held strong and forced the Falcons to turn the ball over on downs.
