NORTHERN CHAMPIONS

The C.V.Falcons team travelled down to Lancaster to take part in the last Junior Kitted tournament of the year last weekend Knowing that a win would secure them at the top of the table and Northern Champions in there first year with BYAFA .

Under Coach Gillespies watchful eye the Falcons played the Buccaneers first and kept a clean sheet while scoring 37 unanswered points Most of the came from the power running game of Kyle Macmillan and Anderson

In the next game they met their rivals for the conference the Glasgow Tigers .

They scored on the opening drive with Anderson darting up field on the tigers first drive the defence went to work and when Kyle took the bell of the QB for a touch downd the game was effectively over the score was 32 v 0

They then beat Paisley with Winter leading the offence in his usual way by 28 v 0

This only left the Pumas to beat and the Falcons went to work again scoring through MacMillan on the opening play.

But they went to sleep a little bit and the Pumas scored the only touch down of the day against the Falcons

But with the cl9ock being cut down to 10 minute halves, the Falcons once again picked up the pace and finished of the Pumas by 20 v 6 .

Well done Falcons and lets see if we and the Tigers can put on a fine display of football in Sulihill at the finals on the 13th of August .
