GET READY FOR
SOME FIREWORKS
The recently established
American Football team, Fife Fire, are set to ignite the Beveridge Park
on Saturday 4th November in time for Guy Fawkes night. The Junior squad
will be playing host to the Edinburgh Wolves in the team’s first
competitive adventure.
The capital side will
travel over to the Kingdom to take part in a controlled scrimmage, as
both teams prepare for entry to the BYAFA regular season in 2007. Headcoach,
Mark Bramwell, is confident of a good result.
“We have put
in a lot of hard work over the past 3 months, and our young guys are starting
to look really good”, he continued, “we are ready to take
that next step and put in to practice all that we have been training for.”
The juniors are understandably
excited about their first opportunity to play against an opponent, and
also the chance to wear the brand new game shirts. Bramwell said “The
new shirts are excellent, and look really professional. They are the finishing
touch to making our players really look like a team of athletes.”
Anyone who would like
to get behind Fife’s only American Football team, can head along
to the Beveridge Park on the 4th of November. Kick off time is still to
be confirmed, but the Fire’s website www.fifefire.com will keep
everyone up to date.
