Sunday saw Hawks second game of the season, having suffered a defeat to Gateshead Senators in the first Hawks went to bring home the first win of the season.

However Tigers were not going to let them have all their own way. The first quarter saw the home side cheering when Chris McCrum sacked the Tigers QB forcing the Glasgow side to punt but a booming kick from Andrew Burns forced the Hawks to start on their own 3 yard line.

Glasgow's Jason Gillespie soon snatched down a pass to hand possession back to the Tigers but once again their were unable to make the necessary yards, this time the punt ended at the Hawks one yard line.

Soon into the second quarter Tigers broke the deadlock when Scott Watson scampered 12 yards upfield for the TD and the sure foot of Andrew Burns slotted home the extra points.

The third quarter saw Tigers' Jason Gillespie take an early shower for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Neither side were able to progress the ball in the third quarter but early in the fourth the away side were cheering when Keiran Philips sprinted 34 yards upfield then capped it off with a 3 yard TD run.

Once more the boot of Andrew Burns kicked the extra points. Both sides swapped passion before Tigers Andrew Burns showed his versatility when he snatched in a 8 yard Alan Steen pass for the last TD of the day.

This time the extra point kick was blocked by a resurgent Hawks defence.

Although Hawks tried hard they were unable to find a way through the Tigers defence. Hawks would like to thank everyone who helped at the game.

Their next game is away to Tigers at Cambuslang Rugby Club on 1 st June.
