It was a closely contested game but the Glasgow Tigers handled the heat well and edged out winners with a 14 – 12 win over the Inverness Rockets.

The Glasgow Tigers won the toss and started with the ball. Chris Jenkins made the tackle on 4th down and won a turnover.

On the Rockets first drive Marc Prasher threw the ball long for Darren MacDonald who caught the pass and ran for first down.

Chris Jenkins was stopped just outside the endzone before Donald Stewart scored the first Touchdown of the game.

Chelsea Brooks then failed to catch the ball for the extra point. The Tigers then got the ball back but a good Rocket defence Held the Tigers back.

The Rockets on their next possession started the drive with Chelsea Brooks catching the pass from Prasher.

MacDonald then made a long run forward followed by a Chris Jenkins run that was stopped short of the line.

The Tigers then had the ball but failed to impress and the Rockets got the ball back. Donald Stewart and Blair Wilkie made a series of runs before Prasher made a run on 4th down to lose the ball.

The Rockets won it back with a series of tackles. Jenkins made another long run before Coach Paulin called a Timeout. Prasher then tried a throw but the Tigers won the ball.

The Tigers had the ball again but Andrew Mackintosh made two consecutive tackles to ensure the Rockets went in at half time in the lead. At half time it was 6 – 0 to the Rockets.

The Rockets started the second half with the ball but the tigers intercepted a long Prasher throw. Donald Stewart made a tackle just outside the endzone but the Rockets couldn’t stop the Tigers scoring their first Touchdown of the game.

They also scored the extra point. The Rockets then lost the ball and the Tigers scored again and they scored the extra point. Jenkins then made a run forward to pick up a first down for his team.

Prasher then scored another Touchdown for the Rockets but missed the extra point.

The Tigers lost the ball but it didn’t effect them too much because they intercepted a Prasher throw to take the ball back. The Tigers held off the Rockets to win 14 - 12.
