During
the past twelve months, the Millenium Dome has had more than it's fare share
of critics and attracted less than the expected millions though it's doors.
Now as the infamous exhibit finally closes its doors, one of it's popular exhibits continues to live on in a new video release and is certain attract more fans around the UK and for a lot less than the reported £25 admission fee.
After more than a decade in the wilderness, the ongoing adventures of the Blackadder dynasty hits the video screens when the Lord Edmond Blackadder turns time traveller in this special release from Granada Media.
It is the dawning of a new century and Lord Edmond (Rowan Atkinson)has announced to his guests that he has invented a time machine and wagers that he can go back in time to collect a series of momentos and come back to the present day before you say Millenium Experience.
But what started out as a elaborate con trick turns out to be a major scientific acheivement by non other than his trustic side kick and posser of one pair of underpants - Baldrick(Tony Robinson), who creates a fully working time machine according to Leonardo Davinci's specifications - despite the fact that he cant read.
Together the dynamic duo re- write the course of history going right tackling everything from Dinasours to Roman Centurions, William Shakespeare and even Robin Hood - with hilarious results.
Starring in this 30 minute special include guest appearances from Rik Mayall as self confessed stud machine, Robin Hood, with super model Kate Moss as Hot Babe, Maid Marion along with other Blackadder regulars, Steve Fry, Tim McInerny, Hugh Laurie and Miranda Richardson.
Also inlcuded in this video release, Baldrick himself takes viewers behind the scenes of this latest chapter in the Blackadder Dynasty with his own video diary.
They may be talking about a new Black adder story in 2010, but this video shows that after a 10 year abscence from the TV screens the story has not lost any of it's appeal and conties to be just as funny as ever.
