By Charlie McGroarty
This is the latest in the line of compilation cds released which shows off the songs that people of a certain age group were buying in their millions back in the 60s when the charts actually meant something.
These are the songs that show a class and style in easy listening that people like Jamie Cullum can only dream of. You name them they are all here.
Release Me, The Last Waltz, There Goes my Everything, although I don't think Ten Guitars should be deemed a notable omission as I had never deem that as a love song.
These are the songs that remind people that he is the King of Romance and away from the cheesy image he is a fine singer.
So if you want entertainment of the highest order. My tip
would be bypass the suspect picture on the front of the CD and insert the
disc into your multi-changer and wallow in a day and time when romance was
the feeling that none of us would ever want to leave .
