The Robots of Death

If you take a mixture of the Issac Asimov stories and throw in a dash of Agatha Christie - you then end up with an example of another classic in the Golden Era of TV's most famous time traveller.

Doctor Who - the Robots of Death was one of the final episodes in the third series starring Tom Baker as the good Doctor who was accompanied by the knife throwing loin-cloth wearing Leela (Louise Jamieson).

Set in the distant planet Storm Mine 4 on the vehicle called Sandminer, a skeleton crew continue to battle against bleak deserts and fierce sandstorms, the mundane day to day duties are attended to by a much lager contingent of servant robots.

This a society where Robot are there to serve and nothing else, so when one of the crew is murdered suspicion is immediately falls on the planet's two new arrivals.

But only the good Doctor knows the true extent of the mysterious deaths and is now in a race against time to convince the author crew members and stop the new breed of mechanical saboteurs before it is too late.

Starring Scots Actor Russell Hunter as the ship's Commander and another super performance from Tom Baker, this story with it's  colorful set design, a number of thrilling cliff hanger endings and another excellent performance from Tom Baker, this DVD is another valuable collectors piece for Doctor Who Buffs.

Also included unseen footage of working models in action, picture galleries, floor plans and scenes with out any added sound effects.
