TV talent shows come and go, but for the past ten years, Stars in their Eyes has brought a breath of fresh air to discovering new talent for they offer memebrs of the public the chance to do something that everybody has done at some time in their lives.
There must be very few people around who did not syand infront of the mirror with the hair brush in hand singing singing along to music from the record player trying to be like their idol.
Here Stars in their Eyes takes that fatasy one stage further and for many it could lead to a permanent signing career.
Unlike other TV shows, Stars in their Eyes has no intense competition where for those who make the sept throguh their famous doors, main objective is to go out there, have the fiteen minutes of fame - and to have fun. And if you get a new career out of it so much the better.
After more than ten years , thousands of starry eyed wannabees still want to experience walking through those famous doors. And now host Mathew Kelly exposes some secrets behind the transformations in a new video release by Granada Video.
As well as reliving the recent champion of champions tenth anniversary special, Kelly talks about other memorable peformers recreating the sounds of artists like Chris De Burgh, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Britney Spears, Shirley Bassey and many more.
Ande as an extra bonus, the shows host also talks about the secrets behind the shows ongoing sucess and from a personell point of view, how he has progressed from his early appearances and his legendary waistcoats.
The video also brings the shows bang up to date with one if the show's memorable performances in Glasgow's Gary Mullen as Freddy Mercury who talks about being catapulted into the media spotlight and about a special ambition he would loved to fufill in order to make his Stars in their Eyes fantasy complete.
