Tigers On Lookout For New Cubs

Glasgow Tigers library picWith a new Head Coach and some changes in playing and coaching staff it will be an interesting season for the Glasgow Tigers as they compete in one of the toughest divisions in BAFACL 2 this year.

Alex Paterson takes over for his first game in charge when the Tigers are due to travel to Carlisle on 24th April, and any thoughts of an easy introduction game are quickly dispelled when he checked the team sheet to see some well known names on the Carlisle roster , players formerly from both the Clyde Valley and West Coast teams.

The Tigers 2011 schedule sees them play games at home and away against Carlisle , West Coast Trojans , Clyde Valley Blackhawks and Edinburgh Wolves. A home fixture against Dundee and an away trip to the Highland Wildcats completes the regular season.

For the 2011 season the Tigers have once again secured the home pitch at

Lochinch in Pollok Park Glasgow but they are currently recruiting new players

at training sessions on Saturdays during February and March from 2pm to 4pm at

Stonelaw High School , 140 Calderwood Road , Burnside, Rutherglen.

Any new or experienced players are welcome to attend these sessions where

equipment and coaching will be given.

Please contact Tigers Chairman William Clark on 07742727646 or email william.clark10@ntlworld.com  for further details.
