Junior Wildcats return
from Germany Triumphant

The Highland Wildcats Junior Flag American Football returned on Friday after a fantastic week of American Football in Germany where they held the German Champions, Wiesbaden Phantoms, to 12 all draw and despatched the Darmstadt Diamonds 36 to 26 and the Mainz Golden Eagles by 42 to 7.

The only loss was in their first game against Hanau Hornets losing out by just one touchdown.

The Wildcats won the admiration of the German players and coaches for their level of skill and determination playing against older players and in temperatures reaching 33 degrees for most of the week long tour.

Wildcats Head Coach Robbie Paulin commented "The team played exceptionally well under conditions which we Scots are just not used to, they have gained a wealth of experience and this has been a great building block for the run up to the UK finals"

The Wildcats continued their winning ways on Saturday when Inverness hosted the latest round of the Flag Football tournaments.

The Wildcats continued their unbeaten UK run this year winning over the Glasgow Hornets 24 points to 18 and with this victory they also became Scottish Champions and will now travel to Doncaster on September 6 th for the UK finals.
